And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.


He shall be driven from light into darkness, And chased out of the world.


Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, And the spark of his fire shall not shine.


These are of them that rebel against the light; They know not the ways thereof, Nor abide in the paths thereof.


Then let my shoulder fall from the shoulder blade, And mine arm be broken from the bone.


It is changed as clay under the seal; And all things stand forth as a garment:


They meet with darkness in the daytime, And grope at noonday as in the night.


But he saveth from the sword of their mouth, Even the needy from the hand of the mighty.


Break thou the arm of the wicked; And as for the evil man, seek out his wickedness till thou find none.


For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: But the LORD upholdeth the righteous.


The way of the wicked is as darkness: They know not at what they stumble.


Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains; and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.


Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.


But the soul that doeth aught with an high hand, whether he be homeborn or a stranger, the same blasphemeth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
