In a moment they die, even at midnight; The people are shaken and pass away, And the mighty are taken away without hand.


Because there is wrath, beware lest thou be led away by thy sufficiency; Neither let the greatness of the ransom turn thee aside.


Desire not the night, When peoples are cut off in their place.


God will not withdraw his anger; The helpers of Rahab do stoop under him


None of them can by any means redeem his brother, Nor give to God a ransom for him:


Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: But righteousness delivereth from death.


Though hand join in hand, the evil man shall not be unpunished: But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.


Riches profit not in the day of wrath: But righteousness delivereth from death.


In that day a man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made for him to worship, to the moles and to the bats;


And the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when men arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.


Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make an end, yea, a terrible end, of all them that dwell in the land.


Your gold and your silver are rusted; and their rust shall be for a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire. Ye have laid up your treasure in the last days.
