That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked, that so the righteous should be as the wicked; that be far from thee: shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?


And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.


There the upright might reason with him; So should I be delivered for ever from my judge


For that were an heinous crime; Yea, it were an iniquity to be punished by the judges:


And my heart hath been secretly enticed, And my mouth hath kissed my hand:


Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer; I would make supplication to mine adversary.
