And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.


Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;


And wolves shall cry in their castles, and jackals in the pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.


And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither joyful noise: no treader shall tread out wine in the presses; I have made the vintage shout to cease.


At eventide behold terror; and before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.


For it is a day of discomfiture, and of treading down, and of perplexity, from the Lord, the LORD of hosts, in the valley of vision; a breaking down of the walls, and a crying to the mountains.


O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am become a laughingstock all the day, every one mocketh me.


Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.


Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, saith the Lord GOD.


For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a day of clouds; it shall be the time of the heathen.


The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.


Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as destruction from the Almighty shall it come,


For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth; the LORD, the God of hosts, is his name.


For the time is come for judgement to begin at the house of God: and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?
