And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king; and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and brought the king, and his household, over Jordan, and all David's men with him?


And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the threshing-floor, or out of the winepress?


Then he said, God do so to me, and more also, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall stand on him this day.


Every prudent man worketh with knowledge: But a fool spreadeth out folly.


If a wise man hath a controversy with a foolish man, Whether he be angry or laugh, there will be no rest.


A fool also multiplieth words: yet man knoweth not what shall be; and that which shall be after him, who can tell him?


Be not rash with thy month, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God; for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.


I turned about, and my heart was set to know and to search out, and to seek wisdom and the reason of things, and to know that wickedness is folly, and that foolishness is madness:


Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the male children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had carefully learned of the wise men.


And when the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that he had not first washed before dinner.


But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.


But certain of the Pharisees said, Why do ye that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath day?


But the chief priests took counsel that they might put Lazarus also to death;


And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with fire: have ye called us to impoverish us? is it not so?
