Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast in like manner; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.


And Jesus called unto him his disciples, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat: and I would not send them away fasting, lest haply they faint in the way.


And when they had been long without food, then Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have set sail from Crete, and have gotten this injury and loss.


Then the soldiers cut away the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.


Wherefore I beseech you to take some food: for this is for your safety: for there shall not a hair perish from the head of any of you.


and he took food and was strengthened. And he was certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
