The Lord said to Satan, “Whence have you come?” Satan answered the Lord, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.”


With mighty chariotry, twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands, the Lord came from Sinai into the holy place.


The whole earth is at rest and quiet; they break forth into singing.


Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I am through with him, lo, the prince of Greece will come.


So the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered, ‘These are they whom the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.’


And I am very angry with the nations that are at ease; for while I was angry but a little they furthered the disaster.


“I saw in the night, and behold, a man riding upon a red horse! He was standing among the myrtle trees in the glen; and behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses.


When the steeds came out, they were impatient to get off and patrol the earth. And he said, “Go, patrol the earth.” So they patrolled the earth.


The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers,


So it will be at the close of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous,


“When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.


When people say, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape.


and to grant rest with us to you who are afflicted, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,


The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants what must soon take place; and he made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
