He said to him, “Bring me a heifer three years old, a she-goat three years old, a ram three years old, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.”


Do not deliver the soul of thy dove to the wild beasts; do not forget the life of thy poor for ever.


Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance,


for lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.


I went down to the nut orchard, to look at the blossoms of the valley, to see whether the vines had budded, whether the pomegranates were in bloom.


My beloved has gone down to his garden, to the beds of spices, to pasture his flock in the gardens, and to gather lilies.


“For you shall go out in joy, and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.


Even the stork in the heavens knows her times; and the turtledove, swallow, and crane keep the time of their coming; but my people know not the ordinance of the Lord.


Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
