None of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself.


If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.


fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.


For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.


Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.


And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.


Since we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we too believe, and so we speak,


far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come;


for in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.


He disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in him.


and therefore I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am sure that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.


These all died in faith, not having received what was promised, but having seen it and greeted it from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.
