Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Mana-en a member of the court of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.


Then the brethren immediately sent Paul off on his way to the sea, but Silas and Timothy remained there.


But the Jews were jealous, and taking some wicked fellows of the rabble, they gathered a crowd, set the city in an uproar, and attacked the house of Jason, seeking to bring them out to the people.


When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with preaching, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus.


And having sent into Macedonia two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.


Sopater of Beroea, the son of Pyrrhus, accompanied him; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy; and the Asians, Tychicus and Trophimus.


Greet my kinsman Herodion. Greet those in the Lord who belong to the family of Narcissus.

O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the godless chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge,


To Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.


You should understand that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I shall see you if he comes soon.
