On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,


And the name of the third river is Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.


David also defeated Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to restore his power at the river Euphrates.


When you finish reading this book, bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of the Euphrates,


turn and take your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites, and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country and in the lowland, and in the Negeb, and by the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.


From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory.


The sixth angel poured his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east.

Then I saw another angel ascend from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea,


Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.


Now the seven angels who had the seven trumpets made ready to blow them.


So the four angels were released, who had been held ready for the hour, the day, the month, and the year, to kill a third of mankind.
