And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.


Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever” —


Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!


This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it.


And the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,


Blessed is he who waits and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.


So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.


I am the door; if any one enters by me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.


“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.


Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.


Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, and his sons, and his cattle?”


For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of God.


Only take care lest this liberty of yours somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.


Do we not have the right to be accompanied by a wife, as the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.


And every one who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.


For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.


He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’


It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed;
