When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless.


Be exalted, O Lord, in thy strength! We will sing and praise thy power.


Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let thy glory be over all the earth!


The Lord has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.


To thee, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for thou hast given me wisdom and strength, and hast now made known to me what we asked of thee, for thou hast made known to us the king's matter.”


When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem; and he got down upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.

And I heard the angel of water say, “Just art thou in these thy judgments, thou who art and wast, O Holy One.


And I heard the altar cry, “Yea, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are thy judgments!”


so shall her plagues come in a single day, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she shall be burned with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.”


Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.


Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty thunderpeals, crying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.
