19 Of old thou didst speak in a vision to thy faithful one, and say: “I have set the crown upon one who is mighty, I have exalted one chosen from the people.

Then even the valiant man, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will utterly melt with fear; for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and that those who are with him are valiant men.


Nevertheless I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand; but I will make him ruler all the days of his life, for the sake of David my servant whom I chose, who kept my commandments and my statutes;


I cry aloud to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy hill. Selah


My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me continually, “Where is your God?”


Thou hast said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant:


For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”


Their prince shall be one of themselves, their ruler shall come forth from their midst; I will make him draw near, and he shall approach me, for who would dare of himself to approach me? says the Lord.


and he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.”


as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,


because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.


that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles.
