In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.


“Is not God high in the heavens? See the highest stars, how lofty they are!


Is there any number to his armies? Upon whom does his light not arise?


Behold, even the moon is not bright and the stars are not clean in his sight;


“Remember to extol his work, of which men have sung.


Thou hast made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.


Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who have pleasure in them.


Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars!


The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.


By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of his mouth.


The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine; the world and all that is in it, thou hast founded them.


And he gave to Moses, when he had made an end of speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.


And the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them; as the Lord had said.


But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.


Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;


And beware lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and worship them and serve them, things which the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.
