The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered his voice.


“Then the earth reeled and rocked; the foundations of the heavens trembled and quaked, because he was angry.


At thy rebuke they fled; at the sound of thy thunder they took to flight.


And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; he flashed forth lightnings, and routed them.


Then the channels of the sea were seen, and the foundations of the world were laid bare, at thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.


Then the earth reeled and rocked; the foundations also of the mountains trembled and quaked, because he was angry.


His lightnings lighten the world; the earth sees and trembles.


On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.


And Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire; and the smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.


His brightness was like the light, rays flashed from his hand; and there he veiled his power.


And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom; and the earth shook, and the rocks were split;


And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.


Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple; and there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.


After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority; and the earth was made bright with his splendor.


Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.


“Lord, when thou didst go forth from Seir, when thou didst march from the region of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, yea, the clouds dropped water.
