And the Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your supplication, which you have made before me; I have consecrated this house which you have built, and put my name there for ever; my eyes and my heart will be there for all time.


Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah saying, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Your prayer to me about Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.


“Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the prince of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you; on the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.


For my iniquities have gone over my head; they weigh like a burden too heavy for me.


For evils have encompassed me without number; my iniquities have overtaken me, till I cannot see; they are more than the hairs of my head; my heart fails me.


Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.


Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name; deliver us, and forgive our sins, for thy name's sake!


And he touched my mouth, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin forgiven.”
