In those days Hezekiah became sick and was at the point of death, and he prayed to the Lord; and he answered him and gave him a sign.


“Behold, God will not reject a blameless man, nor take the hand of evildoers.


Let them be before the Lord continually; and may his memory be cut off from the earth!


The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and his ears toward their cry.


Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all.


This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.


But I through the abundance of thy steadfast love will enter thy house, I will worship toward thy holy temple in the fear of thee.


The enemy have vanished in everlasting ruins; their cities thou hast rooted out; the very memory of them has perished.


When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will rescue him and honor him.


The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.


Before they call I will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear.


and I will set my face against that man, I will make him a sign and a byword and cut him off from the midst of my people; and you shall know that I am the Lord.


And though they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it shall slay them; and I will set my eyes upon them for evil and not for good.”
