It is not the old that are wise, nor the aged that understand what is right.


I will not set before my eyes anything that is base. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cleave to me.


I understand more than the aged, for I keep thy precepts.


Therefore I direct my steps by all thy precepts; I hate every false way.


I hate and abhor falsehood, but I love thy law.


Give me understanding, that I may keep thy law and observe it with my whole heart.


Thy commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me.


He plots mischief while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he spurns not evil.


The Lord loves those who hate evil; he preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.


There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.


The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.
