So in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, in open places, I stationed the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows.


The wicked borrows, and cannot pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives;


A good man obtains favor from the Lord, but a man of evil devices he condemns.


A man without sense gives a pledge, and becomes surety in the presence of his neighbor.


He who is slack in his work is a brother to him who destroys.


So you will walk in the way of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous.


Prepare your work outside, get everything ready for you in the field; and after that build your house.


Now there was a man named Joseph from the Jewish town of Arimathea. He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man,


But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish.


And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the fragments left over, that nothing may be lost.”


for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a large company was added to the Lord.


Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord.


Why, one will hardly die for a righteous man—though perhaps for a good man one will dare even to die.


Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise,


And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment,


Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time.
