Now in all Israel there was no one so much to be praised for his beauty as Absalom; from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.


Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!


but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.


The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.


A gracious woman gets honor, and violent men get riches.


Like a gold ring in a swine's snout is a beautiful woman without discretion.


The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.


“Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”


Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.


Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes;


The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

He is a Jew who is one inwardly, and real circumcision is a matter of the heart, spiritual and not literal. His praise is not from men but from God.

For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.
