Thou dost cause the grass to grow for the cattle, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth,


He covers the heavens with clouds, he prepares rain for the earth, he makes grass grow upon the hills.


A son who gathers in summer is prudent, but a son who sleeps in harvest brings shame.


the lambs will provide your clothing, and the goats the price of a field;


And it shall be as when the reaper gathers standing grain and his arm harvests the ears, and as when one gleans the ears of grain in the Valley of Rephaim.


As for me, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand for you before the Chaldeans who will come to us; but as for you, gather wine and summer fruits and oil, and store them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.”
