I hate and abhor falsehood, but I love thy law.


The soul of the sluggard craves, and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.


When wickedness comes, contempt comes also; and with dishonor comes disgrace.


The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace.


Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me,


haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,


a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.


And there you shall remember your ways and all the doings with which you have polluted yourselves; and you shall loathe yourselves for all the evils that you have committed.


Then you will remember your evil ways, and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves for your iniquities and your abominable deeds.


then those of you who escape will remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, when I have broken their wanton heart which has departed from me, and blinded their eyes which turn wantonly after their idols; and they will be loathsome in their own sight for the evils which they have committed, for all their abominations.


And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.


In one month I destroyed the three shepherds. But I became impatient with them, and they also detested me.


Therefore, putting away falsehood, let every one speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.


Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices


But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”


And he said to her, “If they bind me with new ropes that have not been used, then I shall become weak, and be like any other man.”
