When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless.


“Behold, God will not reject a blameless man, nor take the hand of evildoers.


Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.


May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for thee.


For the Lord God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the Lord withhold from those who walk uprightly.


A man of crooked mind does not prosper, and one with a perverse tongue falls into calamity.


though his hatred be covered with guile, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.


The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.


He who walks in integrity will be delivered, but he who is perverse in his ways will fall into a pit.


Then you will walk on your way securely and your foot will not stumble.


“So have no fear of them; for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.


Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then every man will receive his commendation from God.


So also good deeds are conspicuous; and even when they are not, they cannot remain hidden.
