18 The house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau stubble; they shall burn them and consume them, and there shall be no survivor to the house of Esau: for the Lord has spoken.

For your servant knows that I have sinned; therefore, behold, I have come this day, the first of all the house of Joseph to come down to meet my lord the king.”


So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt, to gather stubble for straw.


The light of Israel will become a fire, and his Holy One a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and briers in one day.


His rock shall pass away in terror, and his officers desert the standard in panic,” says the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and whose furnace is in Jerusalem.
