And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.”


But he was silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”


And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”

So the Jews gathered round him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

And when the people entered the forest, behold, the honey was dropping, but no man put his hand to his mouth; for the people feared the oath.


Then one of the people said, “Your father strictly charged the people with an oath, saying, ‘Cursed be the man who eats food this day.’ ” And the people were faint.
