a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;


and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.


As for what was sown on good soil, this is he who hears the word and understands it; he indeed bears fruit, and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”


Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.


For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.


And behold, one came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life?”


Then the King will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;


And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”


“Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.


But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.


“If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.


And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.


“Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man!


If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.


He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.


for I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”


But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him,”


From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once regarded Christ from a human point of view, we regard him thus no longer.


Indeed I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, in order that I may gain Christ


If you are reproached for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.


For they have set out for his sake and have accepted nothing from the heathen.
