And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for people were saying, “He is beside himself.”


And a crowd was sitting about him; and they said to him, “Your mother and your brothers are outside, asking for you.”


And looking around on those who sat about him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!


Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.


And he said to them, “How is it that you sought me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?”


And Jesus said to her, “O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.”


From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once regarded Christ from a human point of view, we regard him thus no longer.


who said of his father and mother, ‘I regard them not’; he disowned his brothers, and ignored his children. For they observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
