And the Lord said to Moses, “How long will this people despise me? And how long will they not believe in me, in spite of all the signs which I have wrought among them?


Then he began to upbraid the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent.


He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”


And when they saw him they worshiped him; but some doubted.


And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a man from outside cannot defile him,


but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them.


And he said to them, “O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!


So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, and place my finger in the mark of the nails, and place my hand in his side, I will not believe.”


Eight days later, his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. The doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “Peace be with you.”


Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.”


After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberi-as; and he revealed himself in this way.


This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.


To them he presented himself alive after his passion by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days, and speaking of the kingdom of God.


and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.


Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent.
