As they went out, they came upon a man of Cyrene, Simon by name; this man they compelled to carry his cross.


and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.


And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple cloak, and put his own clothes on him. And they led him out to crucify him.


Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.


And as they led him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus.


So they took Jesus, and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called the place of a skull, which is called in Hebrew Golgotha.


But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Greeks also, preaching the Lord Jesus.


Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Mana-en a member of the court of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.


Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,


Then some of those who belonged to the synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called), and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, arose and disputed with Stephen.


Greet Rufus, eminent in the Lord, also his mother and mine.
