Then they took Joseph's robe, and killed a goat, and dipped the robe in the blood;


They pledged themselves to put away their wives, and their guilt offering was a ram of the flock for their guilt.


They offered at the dedication of this house of God one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel twelve he-goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.


Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old; you shall take it from the sheep or from the goats;


Yet it was the will of the Lord to bruise him; he has put him to grief; when he makes himself an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand;


Now Moses diligently inquired about the goat of the sin offering, and behold, it was burned! And he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron who were left, saying,


“And when the days of her purifying are completed, whether for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest at the door of the tent of meeting a lamb a year old for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove for a sin offering,


“And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb a year old without blemish, and a cereal offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, and one log of oil.


“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering which is for the people, and bring its blood within the veil, and do with its blood as he did with the blood of the bull, sprinkling it upon the mercy seat and before the mercy seat;


And he shall take from the congregation of the people of Israel two male goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.


And on the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb a year old without blemish as a burnt offering to the Lord.


if the sin which he has committed is made known to him, he shall bring as his offering a goat, a male without blemish,


if it is the anointed priest who sins, thus bringing guilt on the people, then let him offer for the sin which he has committed a young bull without blemish to the Lord for a sin offering.


and he said to Aaron, “Take a bull calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.


and an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord, and a cereal offering mixed with oil; for today the Lord will appear to you.’ ”


For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do: sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,


For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.


who gave himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity and to purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.


He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.


For Christ also died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit;


and they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy art thou to take the scroll and to open its seals, for thou wast slain and by thy blood didst ransom men for God from every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
