But Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built himself a house, and made booths for his cattle; therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.


but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed and done all that Jonadab our father commanded us.

You shall keep it as a feast to the Lord seven days in the year; it is a statute for ever throughout your generations; you shall keep it in the seventh month.

How fair are your tents, O Jacob, your encampments, O Israel!


For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
