to assist also with the showbread, the flour for the cereal offering, the wafers of unleavened bread, the baked offering, the offering mixed with oil, and all measures of quantity or size.


“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.


A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight.


A just balance and scales are the Lord's; all the weights in the bag are his work.


Diverse weights and diverse measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord.


“You shall have just balances, a just ephah, and a just bath.


For I am the Lord who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God; you shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.”


And you shall observe all my statutes and all my ordinances, and do them: I am the Lord.”


Shall I acquit the man with wicked scales and with a bag of deceitful weights?


And I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah that goes forth.” And he said, “This is their iniquity in all the land.”
