Then Saul said to the people who were with him, “Number and see who has gone from us.” And when they had numbered, behold, Jonathan and his armor-bearer were not there.


And his armor-bearer said to him, “Do all that your mind inclines to; behold, I am with you, as is your mind so is mine.”


And David came to Saul, and entered his service. And Saul loved him greatly, and he became his armor-bearer.


Thus Saul died, and his three sons, and his armor-bearer, and all his men, on the same day together.
