they have crossed over the pass, at Geba they lodge for the night; Ramah trembles, Gibe-ah of Saul has fled.


Blow the horn in Gibe-ah, the trumpet in Ramah. Sound the alarm at Beth-aven; tremble, O Benjamin!


They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibe-ah: he will remember their iniquity, he will punish their sins.


Zela, Ha-eleph, Jebus (that is, Jerusalem), Gibe-ah and Kiriath-jearim —fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Benjamin according to its families.


When they were near Jebus, the day was far spent, and the servant said to his master, “Come now, let us turn aside to this city of the Jebusites, and spend the night in it.”


And he said to his servant, “Come and let us draw near to one of these places, and spend the night at Gibe-ah or at Ramah.”


Saul also went to his home at Gibe-ah, and with him went men of valor whose hearts God had touched.


Saul chose three thousand men of Israel; two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and the hill country of Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibe-ah of Benjamin; the rest of the people he sent home, every man to his tent.
