29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice; therefore this joy of mine is now full.

I come to my garden, my sister, my bride, I gather my myrrh with my spice, I eat my honeycomb with my honey, I drink my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends, and drink: drink deeply, O lovers!


For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.


that you may suck and be satisfied with her consoling breasts; that you may drink deeply with delight from the abundance of her glory.”


“Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem, Thus says the Lord, I remember the devotion of your youth, your love as a bride, how you followed me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.


“When I passed by you again and looked upon you, behold, you were at the age for love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness: yea, I plighted my troth to you and entered into a covenant with you, says the Lord God, and you became mine.

And Jesus said to them, “Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come, when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.


And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.’


These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.


Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.


But now I am coming to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.


He must increase, but I must decrease.”


I feel a divine jealousy for you, for I betrothed you to Christ to present you as a pure bride to her one husband.


complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.


And we are writing this that our joy may be complete.


Though I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink, but I hope to come to see you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.


Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues, and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
