Yea, dogs are round about me; a company of evildoers encircle me; they have pierced my hands and feet—


In spite of all this they still sinned; despite his wonders they did not believe.


“He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.


But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it.


And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.


Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they sat at table; and he upbraided them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.


And he said to them, “O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!


He first found his brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ).


Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.”


That disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his clothes, for he was stripped for work, and sprang into the sea.


So they said to him, “Then what sign do you do, that we may see, and believe you? What work do you perform?


Take care, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.


And to whom did he swear that they should never enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient?
