“Behold, in this you are not right. I will answer you. God is greater than man.


Behold, no fear of me need terrify you; my pressure will not be heavy upon you.


How then can I answer him, choosing my words with him?


If it is a contest of strength, behold him! If it is a matter of justice, who can summon him?


If one wished to contend with him, one could not answer him once in a thousand times.


yet thou wilt plunge me into a pit, and my own clothes will abhor me.


Enter not into judgment with thy servant; for no man living is righteous before thee.


Whatever has come to be has already been named, and it is known what man is, and that he is not able to dispute with one stronger than he.


“Woe to him who strives with his Maker, an earthen vessel with the potter! Does the clay say to him who fashions it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’?


Behold, like a lion coming up from the jungle of the Jordan against a strong sheepfold, I will suddenly make them run away from her; and I will appoint over her whomever I choose. For who is like me? Who will summon me? What shepherd can stand before me?


God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfil it?


But who are you, a man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me thus?”


whenever our hearts condemn us; for God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.


But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the Lord sees not as man sees; man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
