In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened.


the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained,


Behind him he leaves a shining wake; one would think the deep to be hoary.


who alone stretched out the heavens, and trampled the waves of the sea;


Thy way was through the sea, thy path through the great waters; yet thy footprints were unseen.


When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water.


when he made firm the skies above, when he established the fountains of the deep,


Therefore thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will plead your cause and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her sea and make her fountain dry;
