Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if you are righteous, or is it gain to him if you make your ways blameless?


For he has not appointed a time for any man to go before God in judgment.


Am I the sea, or a sea monster, that thou settest a guard over me?


If it is a contest of strength, behold him! If it is a matter of justice, who can summon him?


For he is not a man, as I am, that I might answer him, that we should come to trial together.


Enter not into judgment with thy servant; for no man living is righteous before thee.


When thou dost chasten man with rebukes for sin, thou dost consume like a moth what is dear to him; surely every man is a mere breath! Selah


At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse lay stunned.


They have burned it with fire, they have cut it down; may they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance!


For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.


Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent.
