And they that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.


If he passes through, and imprisons, and calls to judgment, who can hinder him?


God gives me up to the ungodly, and casts me into the hands of the wicked.


He breaks me down on every side, and I am gone, and my hope has he pulled up like a tree.


He seals up the hand of every man, that all men may know his work.


Consider the work of God; who can make straight what he has made crooked?


And I will make it a possession of the hedgehog, and pools of water, and I will sweep it with the broom of destruction, says the Lord of hosts.”


And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David; he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.


For thou hast made the city a heap, the fortified city a ruin; the palace of aliens is a city no more, it will never be rebuilt.


“Thus says the Lord of hosts: The broad wall of Babylon shall be leveled to the ground and her high gates shall be burned with fire. The peoples labor for naught, and the nations weary themselves only for fire.”

I will make you a bare rock; you shall be a place for the spreading of nets; you shall never be rebuilt; for I the Lord have spoken, says the Lord God.


If Edom says, “We are shattered but we will rebuild the ruins,” the Lord of hosts says, “They may build, but I will tear down, till they are called the wicked country, the people with whom the Lord is angry for ever.”


For God has consigned all men to disobedience, that he may have mercy upon all.

Then said Abishai to David, “God has given your enemy into your hand this day; now therefore let me pin him to the earth with one stroke of the spear, and I will not strike him twice.”
