If I am wicked, woe to me! If I am righteous, I cannot lift up my head, for I am filled with disgrace and look upon my affliction.


For you say, ‘My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in God's eyes.’


Behold, I have prepared my case; I know that I shall be vindicated.


But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.


My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside.


It hurls at him without pity; he flees from its power in headlong flight.


what then shall I do when God rises up? When he makes inquiry, what shall I answer him?


Oh, that I had one to hear me! (Here is my signature! let the Almighty answer me!) Oh, that I had the indictment written by my adversary!


(Let me be weighed in a just balance, and let God know my integrity!)


So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.


You say, ‘I am clean, without transgression; I am pure, and there is no iniquity in me.


Will you even put me in the wrong? Will you condemn me that you may be justified?


After the Lord had spoken these words to Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.


Behold, he snatches away; who can hinder him? Who will say to him, ‘What doest thou?’


I am blameless; I regard not myself; I loathe my life.


It is all one; therefore I say, he destroys both the blameless and the wicked.


for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.


If thou triest my heart, if thou visitest me by night, if thou testest me, thou wilt find no wickedness in me; my mouth does not transgress.


“Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I rend, and there be none to deliver!


O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands,


“I am God, and also henceforth I am He; there is none who can deliver from my hand; I work and who can hinder it?”


Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image which I have made, well and good; but if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace; and who is the god that will deliver you out of my hands?”


Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and no one shall rescue her out of my hand.


For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will rend and go away, I will carry off, and none shall rescue.


He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.


For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience that we have behaved in the world, and still more toward you, with holiness and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God.


“ ‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.


You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and righteous and blameless was our behavior to you believers;


“The Mighty One, God, the Lord! The Mighty One, God, the Lord! He knows; and let Israel itself know! If it was in rebellion or in breach of faith toward the Lord, spare us not today
