He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant for ever. Holy and terrible is his name!


your anointing oils are fragrant, your name is oil poured out; therefore the maidens love you.


every one who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”


You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse, and the Lord God will slay you; but his servants he will call by a different name.


Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, a young woman shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanu-el.


In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called: ‘The Lord is our righteousness.’


“Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanu-el” (which means, God with us).


But when the Pharisees heard it they said, “It is only by Be-elzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.”


and said, “Sir, we remember how that imposter said, while he was still alive, ‘After three days I will rise again.’


and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church, and taught a large company of people; and in Antioch the disciples were for the first time called Christians.


that the rest of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name,


And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme; and in raging fury against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.


And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”


from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,


though I formerly blasphemed and persecuted and insulted him; but I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,


yet if one suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but under that name let him glorify God.


He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.


On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, King of kings and Lord of lords.
