The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.


The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.


The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.


God enlarge Japheth, and let him dwell in the tents of Shem; and let Canaan be his slave.”

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!


May the kings of Tarshish and of the isles render him tribute, may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts!


He will raise an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.


All you inhabitants of the world, you who dwell on the earth, when a signal is raised on the mountains, look! When a trumpet is blown, hear!

Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare his praise in the coastlands.


He will not fail or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law.


I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Do not withhold; bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth,


Listen to me, O coastlands, and hearken, you peoples from afar. The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name.


Lo, these shall come from afar, and lo, these from the north and from the west, and these from the land of Syene.”


Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and raise my signal to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.


My deliverance draws near speedily, my salvation has gone forth, and my arms will rule the peoples; the coastlands wait for me, and for my arm they hope.


The Lord has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.


so shall he startle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which has not been told them they shall see, and that which they have not heard they shall understand.


Behold, you shall call nations that you know not, and nations that knew you not shall run to you, because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.


For the coastlands shall wait for me, the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and gold with them, for the name of the Lord your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.


Go through, go through the gates, prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway, clear it of stones, lift up an ensign over the peoples.


I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here am I, here am I,” to a nation that did not call on my name.


Advance, O horses, and rage, O chariots! Let the warriors go forth: men of Ethiopia and Put who handle the shield, men of Lud, skilled in handling the bow.


“Persia and Lud and Put were in your army as your men of war; they hung the shield and helmet in you; they gave you splendor.


Javan, Tubal, and Meshech traded with you; they exchanged the persons of men and vessels of bronze for your merchandise.


Ethiopia, and Put, and Lud, and all Arabia, and Libya, and the people of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.


“Meshech and Tubal are there, and all their multitude, their graves round about them, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for they spread terror in the land of the living.


“And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal;


I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands; and they shall know that I am the Lord.


Afterward he shall turn his face to the coastlands, and shall take many of them; but a commander shall put an end to his insolence; indeed he shall turn his insolence back upon him.


The Lord will be terrible against them; yea, he will famish all the gods of the earth, and to him shall bow down, each in its place, all the lands of the nations.


From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, the daughter of my dispersed ones, shall bring my offering.


For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense is offered to my name, and a pure offering; for my name is great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts.
