Come, let us go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.”


After these things God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here am I.”


But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven, and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here am I.”

And when they went, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the thunder of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of a host; when they stood still, they let down their wings.


And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.


Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, “Draw near, you executioners of the city, each with his destroying weapon in his hand.”


But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may accomplish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.


And he said to me, ‘Depart; for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’ ”

And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”


To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,


Then the Lord called, “Samuel! Samuel!” and he said, “Here I am!”
