Isaiah 54:7

Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to thy holy name and glory in thy praise.


and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.


For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.


As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.”


In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant which is left of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Ethiopia, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.


He will raise an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.


You will say in that day: “I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, for though thou wast angry with me, thy anger turned away, and thou didst comfort me.


The Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and will set them in their own land, and aliens will join them and will cleave to the house of Jacob.


Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until the wrath is past.


In that day from the river Euphrates to the Brook of Egypt the Lord will thresh out the grain, and you will be gathered one by one, O people of Israel.


Measure by measure, by exile thou didst contend with them; he removed them with his fierce blast in the day of the east wind.


He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arms, he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.


Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted.


Lift up your eyes round about and see; they all gather, they come to you. As I live, says the Lord, you shall put them all on as an ornament, you shall bind them on as a bride does.


Then you will say in your heart: ‘Who has borne me these? I was bereaved and barren, exiled and put away, but who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; whence then have these come?’ ”


Thus says the Lord: “Where is your mother's bill of divorce, with which I put her away? Or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities you were sold, and for your transgressions your mother was put away.


Thus says the Lord God, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, I will gather yet others to him besides those already gathered.”


Foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in my wrath I smote you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you.


Lift up your eyes round about, and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from far, and your daughters shall be carried in the arms.


You shall no more be termed Forsaken, and your land shall no more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called My delight is in her, and your land Married; for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married.


I will recount the steadfast love of the Lord, the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord has granted us, and the great goodness to the house of Israel which he has granted them according to his mercy, according to the abundance of his steadfast love.


“For I know their works and their thoughts, and I am coming to gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come and shall see my glory,


For Israel and Judah have not been forsaken by their God, the Lord of hosts; but the land of the Chaldeans is full of guilt against the Holy One of Israel.


For the Lord will not cast off for ever,


but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love;


For I will take you from the nations, and gather you from all the countries, and bring you into your own land.


In that day, says the Lord, I will assemble the lame and gather those who have been driven away, and those whom I have afflicted;


“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!


For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,


as a plan for the fulness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.


then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes, and have compassion upon you, and he will gather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your God has scattered you.


But he gives more grace; therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”


But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
