Smoke went up from his nostrils, and devouring fire from his mouth; glowing coals flamed forth from him.


Our God comes, he does not keep silence, before him is a devouring fire, round about him a mighty tempest.


Fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries round about.


In the greatness of thy majesty thou overthrowest thy adversaries; thou sendest forth thy fury, it consumes them like stubble.


Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel.


The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling has seized the godless: “Who among us can dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?”


“For behold, the Lord will come in fire, and his chariots like the stormwind, to render his anger in fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.


and the peaceful folds are devastated, because of the fierce anger of the Lord.


For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;


As I looked, thrones were placed and one that was ancient of days took his seat; his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, its wheels were burning fire.


And the people complained in the hearing of the Lord about their misfortunes; and when the Lord heard it, his anger was kindled, and the fire of the Lord burned among them, and consumed some outlying parts of the camp.


And fire came forth from the Lord, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men offering the incense.


Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience.


For the Lord your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.


Know therefore this day that he who goes over before you as a devouring fire is the Lord your God; he will destroy them and subdue them before you; so you shall drive them out, and make them perish quickly, as the Lord has promised you.


and to grant rest with us to you who are afflicted, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,


inflicting vengeance upon those who do not know God and upon those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.


but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries.


It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.


But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist have been stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
