Laban had gone to shear his sheep, and Rachel stole her father's household gods.


Now Rachel had taken the household gods and put them in the camel's saddle, and sat upon them. Laban felt all about the tent, but did not find them.


Then Jacob became angry, and upbraided Laban; Jacob said to Laban, “What is my offense? What is my sin, that you have hotly pursued me?


So Bathsheba went to King Solomon, to speak to him on behalf of Adonijah. And the king rose to meet her, and bowed down to her; then he sat on his throne, and had a seat brought for the king's mother; and she sat on his right.


“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.


Servants, be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to the kind and gentle but also to the overbearing.
