Then the servant took ten of his master's camels and departed, taking all sorts of choice gifts from his master; and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.


and Isaac was forty years old when he took to wife Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean.


But to the sons of his concubines Abraham gave gifts, and while he was still living he sent them away from his son Isaac, eastward to the east country.


God said to Jacob, “Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there; and make there an altar to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”


and there he built an altar, and called the place El-bethel, because there God had revealed himself to him when he fled from his brother.


so that Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.


I will run in the way of thy commandments when thou enlargest my understanding!


I hasten and do not delay to keep thy commandments.


Go, eat your bread with enjoyment, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already approved what you do.


(Jacob fled to the land of Aram, there Israel did service for a wife, and for a wife he herded sheep.)

Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor with their army, about fifteen thousand men, all who were left of all the army of the people of the East; for there had fallen a hundred and twenty thousand men who drew the sword.
