So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water, and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, along with the child, and sent her away. And she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.


So they made a covenant at Beer-sheba. Then Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army rose up and returned to the land of the Philistines.


From there he went up to Beer-sheba.


In the morning they rose early and took oath with one another; and Isaac set them on their way, and they departed from him in peace.


He called it Shibah; therefore the name of the city is Beer-sheba to this day.


So Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.


But my counsel is that all Israel be gathered to you, from Dan to Beer-sheba, as the sand by the sea for multitude, and that you go to battle in person.
